I have been lax in my attempt to spark any discussion on the fiscal cliff, due to the conduct of the party I am affiliated. Republicans in response to defeat(presidential election) have been moved to the left, rather than holding a steadfastness to principal and reason. Our economic situation, common to other countries, doesn't lack a clear view to prosperity, it lacks the character of true leadership. Tax increases are of little value because American revenue, in comparison to the world in govt revenue(USA 2.3 trillion; Japan 1.9 trillion) and in GDP(USA 15tril; China 7.2tril)there is a large gap, suffers not from want. The true issue is the government's expenditures.

This is just a small example of how big the problem of SPENDING the U.S. government has. Look up the numbers for yourself.
There is no accountability to the dollar nor to the future economic status of America. The politicians are influenced by their on interest, the interest of an over-consuming citizenry and the greedy interest of corporate America. No matter how great an individual's or a country's ability, a lack of moral character in finance or any other area removes the opportunity to exact success over the long term. What we have here in America is a morally corrupt society that has an insatiable hunger for everything except virtue, that is perpetuated by the media and big business and has used the want of power and position of politicians to make over-consumption, along with many other vices, the rule of law.
With all that stated, look at the federal budget over the last 10 years, along with federal revenue. Tell me what is consuming the budget and why the revenue is deemed insufficient. I have my own theory. I would like to hear yours or any other informed individual's theory.
